All non-potty-trained participants must wear three layers of protection to help guard against water contamination:

Layer #1: Disposable Swim Diaper

Layer #2: Reusable Swim Diaper

Layer #3: Bathing Suit

Set your child up for a lifetime of safety, fun and fitness by introducing your baby or toddler to the water early and safely.  This class is the beginning of our SaferSooner program, and focuses on acclimation, early self-rescue skills and parent water safety education. Learn how to support, hold and cue children to gently encourage them to try skills. Songs, colorful toys and proprietary games make the class fun and popular. Each guardian/child pair learns at their own a pace, with no forced submersions.  We offer three types of guardian-assisted classes:

12-24 Months: Baby Discovery
24-36 Months: Toddler Explore and Survive
12-36 Months: Baby & Toddler Explore and Survive

Learn How to Safely:

• Support and hold children in the water
• Encourage and cue children to try skills
• Develop comfort and acclimate to getting face and head wet.
• Teach safe water entries and exits
• Develop self-rescue skills such as back float to help prevent tragedy from accidental or unsupervised access to water.
• What skill progression looks like and how to encourage skill-building
• Experiment with arm and leg action
• Experiment with breath control and submersions
• Avoid accidental water entries
• Select water flotation devices for babies and toddlers, and the pros and cons of each type.
