Class Size Matters

private lessons and small class sizes help get results
While private and semi-private lessons are ultra effective, our small group lessons offer additional opportunities. Our group classes are effective because we have low teacher:student ratios (lower than other swim schools), and because our teachers are trained so well. The groups are a great combination of personal attention, positive peer pressure and group fun, all at a lower price than private lessons. For students who aren't sure about water, sometimes the fun of a group and making friends is the perfect way to help them develop a love for water. For the earlier levels of our Youth Progressive Program, we've found that three student Mini-groups are the perfect number - while other swim schools allow as many as 6 students per teacher. Scroll down to see teacher:student ratios for all group classes.

Here's why private lessons and small class sizes help us deliver accelerated progress:

Students Behave Better

Students behave better and pay more attention in smaller groups. Research has shown this to be especially true in grades K-3*.  That's why we created the Mini-groupTM (3:1 ratio) for the beginner levels of our Youth Progressive Program.

Students Get More Practice Time

The more you practice, the better you get. It's a life lesson that can be taught during the learn-to-swim journey. In private lessons and small classes students simply get more time to practice, and that leads to progress.
our philosophy

Teachers Leverage the Opportunity

Small class sizes and private lessons don't guarantee progress. That's why we  train our teachers. We get results because our teachers customize lessons, offer frequent feedback and know the process of motor skill development.
