We Help you Create Safe Practices at Your Home Pool
The Home Pool Safety Assessment is available to all home pool owners, and is a required service before we teach in any home pool so that the instructor is familiar with a pool's unique features, as well as the location of rescue equipment, emergency shelter and the bathroom. We evaluate your pool and recommend strategies for creating safe pool protocols, taking into account the shape, dimension, depth, deck, unique features and property location of your pool. We propose a site specific Emergency Action Plan (EAP) which helps keep swimmers safe in case of lightening and other emergencies. We recommend appropriate safety equipment, signage, and their proper placement. We advise if the pool is safe, or not, for diving. If owner has not already invested in rescue equipment, such as a reaching pole or buoy, this equipment must be placed on site before any teaching can start in the pool. The Home Pool Safety Assessment takes place three to five days before lessons start so the homeowner has time to obtain any missing equipment. The assessment helps the instructor become familiar with the pool and the property so that lessons can be as safe as possible.
