Learning the SafetyCycle helps guards against injury or drowning from an accidental or unsupervised water entry. Young children are especially prone to accidental water entry. In this drill students simulate a fall by jumping into water that's at least chest-deep. Students are trained to immediately return to the wall, and exit the pool without using assistance.
Toddlers will learn the SafetyCycle, while older children will be challenged to achieve Basic Water CompetencyMost of the new "children only" swim schools don't have water over 4' deep. Without the opportunity to learn safety skills in deep water, you or your child may not be able to pass the SafetyCycle or Basic Water Competency challenge.
